From three vineyards, we make our Heathcote Shiraz every year. With each vineyard being in three distinctly different micro-climates within the Heathcote GI, each hand-picked parcel of fruit adds a unique dimension to this wine.
Medium body, lovely length with a tiny bit of liquorice that’s a nice little sweetener. Dark plum jam, without the sugar and at the same time maybe a bright little single blueberry that bursts in your mouth. White cardamon, maybe allspice, balanced and an elegance of something old world, not new.
Sub-region: A blend of fruit from three different sub-regions: Colbinabbin (Mount Burrumboot Estate), Toolleen (Dead Horse Hill) and Kimbolton (Coliban Glen Vineyard).
Harvest: Between 2 and 16 March 2019.
Aged: In seasoned French and American barriques, 15 months.
Bottled: March 2021.
Palate: Dark plum jam, blueberry with cardamon and allspice. Medium bodied, with a long lengthy finish.
